The hotel welcomes children of any age (cots available) but does request as the hotel is a busy town centre hotel that children under the ages of 16 retire upstairs to their hotel room after 9.30pm. Up to 8.00pm the children of hotel guests are welcome to use all the hotels amities including the games room. The hotel is located within walking distance of Barrow's town centre, all local businesses are very accessible from this very homely accommodation. The lake district is only a 20 minute drive from Barrow-in-Furness, and in and around the Barrow area there are lots of interesting places to visit which include Furness Abbey, Piel Island and Castle, the birthplace of George Romney, Foulney Island bird sanctuary, the award winning Dock Museum and Dalton Wild Animal Park is a mere 10 minutes drive from the Ambrose Hotel. |
